Everyone knows it's not really a wedding without some floral arrangements. Having worked extensively with them, I know a thing or two about them. It makes seeing bad ones all the more cringeworthy.
You can break flowers into 4 types:
Live flowers
Funeral Flowers (the kind you buy at dollar tree or the grocery store to put on graves. Very low quality):
TRUTH
Each bride will have her own style and reasons for choosing live, dried, or faux flowers, but NO bride should ever have funeral flowers on her wedding (no matter the budget restrictions).
It literally hurts my heart when brides post gleefully how they made their own bouquets expecting compliments. Some give them. Some lie. Most, like me, keep silent. Oh, and I of course take a screenshot.
Bride # 1. Fixed budget. DIY heavy. Wanted pastel colors, elegant feel.
Her inspiration:
Pretty, right?

HER RESULT:
Funeral flowers. That's all.
Bride # 2:
Wanted an enchanted rose / Beauty and the Beast theme.
Her inspiration:
Gorgeous.
What she posted, excitedly proclaiming she bought everything at the dollar tree and saved so much money.
...and it shows. The thing about DIY is...it only works if you saved money and Got the same end result. Also, i'm worried for the ten people that "liked" this.
Bride # 3:Considers her theme "rustic" (which to her means burlap and mason jars), and she wanted to hand make burlap roses for the bouquets and boutonnieres.
Her inspiration:
Burlap isn't my favorite (I'm allergic), but it can be done tastefully.
Her end result:
Most common question (asked over 15 times in comments): is it an ice cream cone?
Sad answer: It wasn't supposed to be....
