What's by far the most important thing at a wedding? When polled, 80% of people said CAKE! Now in today's day and time there are two parts to this:
Does it look good?
Does it taste good?
The latter often is overlooked if the former is REALLY good. But rarely is the former overlooked no matter how good it tastes.

Speak and Spell
We all know with the invention of cellphones and auto-correct that occasionally what ends up in a post was not what we had in our minds. These brides weren't victims of the auto-correct demons inside their iPhones. Behind that blonde hair the hamster wheel may not be turning:
Flower Faux Pas
Everyone knows it's not really a wedding without some floral arrangements. Having worked extensively with them, I know a thing or two about them. It makes seeing bad ones all the more cringeworthy.
You can break flowers into 4 types:
Live flowers
Funeral Flowers (the kind you buy at dollar tree or the grocery store to put on graves. Very low quality):
TRUTH
Each bride will have her own style and reasons for choosing live, dried, or faux flowers, but NO bride should ever have funeral flowers on her wedding (no matter the budget restrictions).
It literally hurts my heart when brides post gleefully how they made their own bouquets expecting compliments. Some give them. Some lie. Most, like me, keep silent. Oh, and I of course take a screenshot.
Introduction
Welcome to Don't-I-Y, a blog about the craziness of diy brides, family members, and even professionals! It's true weddings can bring out the worst in people (their inner bridezillas), it can also bring out the crafty side they never had to save a few bucks.
So sit back and have a laugh. Destress from all that planning of your own and marvel at the weird, wacky, and the WTFs in store!
